Scalable ETL platform on Databricks — streaming and batch ingestion with Structured Streaming and Auto Loader, ACID-compliant Delta Lake storage, dbt models for transformation, and Unity Catalog for governance; Airflow DAGs scheduling the full pipeline with data quality checks at each layer.
AWS pipeline enriched metadata of most popular movies & tv-series
from
multiple APIs on daily basis. Stored in S3 buckets with medallion
architecture(Bronze-Silver-Gold),
error handling, data quality checks, incremental changes captured by PySpark inside AWS Glue
jobs.
Built semantic model with bridge supported star schema to filter each individual dimension
(genres, casts, language, production company etc.)
Calculated DAX formulas for custom KPIs on dynamic user-friendly PowerBI dashboard with
drill-down, bookmarks, tooltips and filters capabilities.
Designed and implemented an end-to-end Lakehouse architecture within
Microsoft Fabric to track daily trending movies and TV series. Built automated Fabric Data
Factory pipelines to ingest multi-source API metadata, processing it through a classic
Bronze-Silver-Gold medallion pattern using PySpark notebooks.
Developed a complex data model
utilizing a bridge-supported star schema to handle multi-valued dimensions (e.g., genres, cast,
production companies) seamlessly. The resulting Gold layer directly feeds a semantic model,
powering high-performance executive Power BI dashboards via DirectLake mode for real-time
reporting.
Built a partnership project with DataIku where we've compared the performance of DataIku forecasting models with the open-source best performing Facebook forecasting models for Catalonia 112 Services.
Configured SAP Smart Data Integration (SDI) from multiple operational source systems (HR, operations, maintenance) into HANA. Built batch transformation jobs with SAP Data Services to cleanse, reconcile, and load data into dimensional models — designing star schemas to support KPI reporting across ridership, punctuality, and asset maintenance. Delivered interactive Power BI reports for transportation management enabling drill-down analysis across lines, stations, and time periods.
Delivered 200+ KPIs on SAP Analytics Cloud & SAP Lumira for Saudi Company for Hardware (SACO) & Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) — improving real-time visibility across multiple departments.
